The Chair II

He looks towards her, and she freezes to the doorstep, wanting to escape this sentimental scene , because it makes her feel uncomfortable. She gets glances, in her black dress with arms covered in lace and her hair like a red flame, her eyes more blue than a midnight thunderbolt. 

- - - At the same moment, she sees herself on a meadow, with a white dress, and her orange hair over her face, holding a bunch of flowers and smiling to her boyfriend as if it was the first time they meet. She has wrapped her arms around the flowers and half - runs towards him. - - -

He gives the roses to her, and she forces a smile on to thank him. “thank you.”, She adds, turning her face away from his, while saying those words. He nods, and takes a sip from his wine glass. She does so too, and the wineglass gets a trace from her red lipstick. 

- - - The rain is pouring down , and she runs down the street, without shoes or a jacket, and feels happiness of the moment rush into her. She isn’t freezing, and even though her left feet is bleeding, she doesn’t care. As the rain ends, she finds her way to the park and lays down to the grass, and sees herself with the stars. - - - 

He looks nervous, like there was something he would like to say but he can’t, because he would destroy his pride, and all of his calm. With no warning, Charlene stands up and takes his hands to hers. 

“I know, that you want to leave me.”

She looks down with regret but continues

“I will let you go, but not without a goodbye.”
